first time for e-commerce website!
Another week at Holme group started with finishing the work from last week. The categories were done and I’ve programmed them in HTML/CSS so they will be easy to implement in the old site. The challenge was to make the code very clear and understandable so other team members could easily read it and use the parts they needed.
Then it was time for the next task and this one was to work on a B2B wholesaler side that Holme Group wants to improve and relaunch – HGBrands. They used to sell to hairdressers wholesale but now they are moving into a general wholesale and doing business with supermarkets in Denmark. The old side was :

And now my assignment was to create a new site using wordpress, woocommerce and flatsome service for the template builder. It was a challenging process because as much as i had experience with wordpress I never tried using woocommerce therefore there was a lot to learn with the process of creating an ecommerce website.
After that I started redesigning the look of the website. Changing the color scheme and remaking the logo to svg. I also started moving the database of products from the old side into the new service.
Next step will be to put new products in. Write the UX writing and other content and finish the website with it. The idea for the website is to have two different languages as well as having some content locked behind a log-in, so my task will be to find proper plugins for the wordpress and implement them.
